Kid Galahad    Warner Bros. Pictures Gangsters Collection, Vol. 4 [DVD] DVD
With Prohibition's end, ex-bootlegger Edward G. Robinson decides to enter the world of high society in the gangster comedy "The Little Giant" (1933), co-starring Mary Astor, Russell Hopton. Next, Robinson's a fight promoter who sees stars when a bellhop's brawling skills mark him as a champion. But fists fly when "Kid Galahad" (1937) falls for Robinson's sister. Bette Davis, Humphrey Bogart, Wayne Morris co-star. Robinson, as "The Amazing Dr. Clitterhouse" (1938), tries to get inside the criminal mind...by becoming a mobster himself. Sterling crime drama also stars Bogart, Claire Trevor. Ex-con George Raft, unable to shed his "Invisible Stripes" (1939), rejoins Bogart's gang in the hopes of making a big score. With Jane Bryan, William Holden.
